This workshop is designed for participants who have completed the Online Teaching Strategies (OTS) or have significant experience teaching online. In it, we will discuss various strategies for overcoming common pitfalls in online teaching. We will look at issues like student engagement, creating community, and maintaining work-life balance.
End of the workshop, participants will:
Evaluate the effectiveness of different engagement techniques through student feedback and performance metrics.
Adapt engagement strategies to suit diverse learning styles and technological capabilities of students.
Implement practices that encourage a sense of belonging and inclusivity in the virtual classroom.
Create a personal action plan to maintain mental and physical well-being while teaching online.
Share and discuss experiences with peers to gain insights and alternative approaches to problem-solving.
