Exploring The Multiple Benefits Of Open Educational Resources (Oers) (Workshop - Teaching and Learning Center at Blue Ash) #15452

Import to your Calendar

Open Educational Resources (OERs) provide many benefits to students and faculty, and their use is growing in popularity within Higher Education. Some benefits of OERs are that they can improve students' access to course materials by reducing or eliminating costs and enhance accessibility of course materials thereby promoting more equitable and inclusive learning environments. In this three-hour interactive workshop, Dr. Mason and Dr. Stough-Hunter of Ohio Dominican University will give practical advice on finding and adopting OERs for your courses, as well as suggestions for increasing and tracking OER adoption on your campus. Through several activities, you will work with your colleagues to apply the skills presented. You will leave the workshop with a goal and a set of resources so that you are ready to take the next step in your OER journey. Whether you have never heard the term OER, are just getting started with OERs, or are interested in creating an OER movement on campus, this workshop has something for you.

Please bring your creativity, energy, and a course syllabus with you to the workshop.
