Have you heard talk about ChatGPT and other sources, like Course Hero, making cheating easier for students? How can this be deterred? It’s all about taking a positive approach. In the ever-changing world of academia, it’s crucial for educators to not only share knowledge but also help develop a sense of responsibility and honesty in students’ work. In this workshop, we will share strategies that take a productive, rather than punitive, approach to academic integrity in your online course.

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain what academic integrity is, and the positive motivation behind it.
  • Define authentic assessment.
  • Discuss an educational technology they may want to use in their proactive approach to academic integrity.
