The University of Cincinnati is offering a virtual Applying the Quality Matters Rubric workshop on Monday, April 27 and Tuesday, April 28, from 9 am - 1 pm each day.

This workshop explores the Quality Matters rubric and review process. It prepares you to positively impact the design of online/blended courses and ultimately, student learning and success. There is no cost for this workshop, but you must attend both days and participate to be marked for completion.  Per QM guidelines, this workshop will not be recorded, and a minimum of 6 participants is required for the workshop to run.  There is additional paperwork you must complete to receive the Zoom link, which will be emailed to you by the facilitator. Workshop Objectives:

  1. Describe the underlying principles of Quality Matters
  2. Use the Quality Matters Rubric and score it
  3. Apply the Peer Course Review Rubric to an actual course
  4. Consider becoming a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer

Link to Zoom room will be sent prior to workshop. Participants will be enrolled on the Quality Matters website for the workshop by the facilitator but will need to create an account on QM to sign a confidentiality agreement prior to the workshop. Directions for these tasks will be sent to you prior to the workshop.

Workshop participants will be provided a link to the latest Quality Matters rubric. A physical workbook version is also available via campus mail by request.
