Sometimes the tension and anxiety of our work can make our workdays stressful. Taking a break to take care of ourselves in the middle of the day can help us feel better, be more productive, and have more patience for the people we work with.
In these 30-minute - 5 Days a Week: Mindful Movement in Your Work Clothes - daily sessions, we will engage in activities aimed at releasing chronic stress through mindfulness meditation and gentle yoga-inspired stretching. All faculty and staff are welcome to join this daily practice and no previous experience in yoga or mindfulness is needed. Variations are provided for participants of all levels. The sessions are held Mondays through Fridays, virtually via Zoom. Participants might consider having a sturdy chair to ensure all movement activities are accessible.
