This workshop is brought to you as a collaboration between FotoFocus, the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning and the UC Faculty Enrichment Center.
"This workshop is designed for anyone interested in exploring a story from their own life, experiencing a creative process, and learning to produce a simple short video for personal and/or educational use. We will experiment with the possibilities of widely available tools to support the digital storytelling process. Drawing upon the experience of an ongoing research project that promotes digital literacy, this workshop will invite reflection about how to articulate, augment, and refine voice through digital storytelling and discussion about its possible applications to education.
Our focus will be on developing student voices through the exploration of controversial issues and digital storytelling, aiming to promote dialogue and drive positive change. Educators will be equipped with the tools to create a supportive and dynamic classroom environment, where art and dialogue empower students and facilitate meaningful transformations."
